The former Batofar
Le Bateau Phare is the former Batofar, also found under its old address, 11 quai François Mauriac. Here is its story in a few milestones.

- 1955
Launched on 24 May 1955 by the Philip and Son yard in Dartmouth (England), the Osprey is an Irish lightship. It is in service for the Commissioners of Irish Lights from 1955 to 1975.
- 1999
Arriving in Paris at the end of 1998, it becomes the Batofar in 1999, at the Port de la Gare (Paris 13), a landmark of electronic and then contemporary music.
- 2018
The former operator goes into liquidation in January 2018. The boat is bought in May 2018, refurbished, then reopens as Le Bateau Phare.
Today, Le Bateau Phare is moored at 3 Port de la Gare, 75013 Paris, facing the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF).
